Ellen Pompeo: Katherine Heigl Isn’t Returning to Grey’s

Stepping out for a media appearance, Ellen Pompeo was the special guest on “Chelsea Lately” last night (February 29).

The “Old School” hottie was all smiles as she chatted with Chelsea Handler about everything from having a “half-black” husband to new trends for Jewish bar and bat mitzvahs.

And when the conversation turned to the topic of Katherine Heigl’s possible return to “Grey’s Anatomy,” Ellen looked a bit concerned.

Chelsea asked flat out if Heigl would be invited back to the series, and Pompeo said definitively, “I don’t think so... No, I don’t think that’s happening.”
